The Important Watches department will open the Monaco Auction Week with its sale on 15th January.

Artcurial was the first auction house to present pieces by F.P. Journe at auction in 2008, and will be paying tribute to this genius watchmaker in this sale. Iconic timepieces will be presented, including the watch that earned Journe a place of honour in the world of independent Fine Watchmaking, the famous Tourbillon Souverain, estimated €250,000 - €300,000.

Other exclusive series will also be unveiled, such as the Octa chronographe Ruthenium, estimated €150,000 - €250,000, a limited edition of just 99 pieces whose dial is coated with ruthenium, a precious metal derived from platinum. The great names in watchmaking such as Patek Philippe, Breguet and Audemars Piguet will be highlighted.

Le Temps est Féminin

Sale N°M1112
January 16th 2024 at 2:00 pm

The "Le Temps est Féminin" (Ladies’ watches) sale, which will be held on 16th January, explores the relationship between women and watchmaking. This year it will feature an eclectic selection.

The sale will showcase the 1980s creativity of Van Cleef & Arpels, Patek Philippe and Piaget. Several pieces from an exclusive private collection will present unusual harmonies of texture.
Gold, delicately guilloché or textured, is combined with diamonds, pearls and wood. From hypnotic onyx dials to oversized lapis lazuli bezels, the sale will feature a variety of materials and genuine craftsmanship.

Cult timepieces such as the Ellipse and the Panthère, as well as rarer models such as an astonishing Mystérieuse by Jaeger LeCoultre, estimated €800 - €1,200, will also be auctioned.
